The brakes will make you crazy trying to adjust them correctly! It is otherwise a nice looking, well functioning bike.

This bike came packaged in two big boxes, one residing within the other. With that in mind, it was well protected during shipping. The inner box did show signs of taking a small beating, but nothing major. Before you take it out of the box, have a phillips head screw driver, 4mm 5mm 6mm and 8mm allen keys, adjustable wrench or a 9mm 10mm 14mm and 15mm open and box end wrenches, and a pair of pliers with cable cutting ability. Do not expect allen keys to come with this bike and yes you need them. I had to make a trip to walmart to get the right sized allen keys. This bike was harder to put together then the Mongoose I have. This is where I tell you get what you pay for. The brakes were a little difficult to hook up and the front tire was very hard to get on. Once all those challenges melted away, we had a descent bike that my 10 year old daughter loves and used quite proficiently right away. All in all, it is a good bike and is welded very solidly. The frame is a good weight as well. It does what a bike should and has 18 speeds, not that anyone needs that many!
