Pedals keep unscrewing while riding...

My 4 year old son was so excited to receive his first big boy bike like his older brother. However, the pedals screw into the bars that hold the pedals and unscrew slowly with every pedal of the bike so half way down the street they fall off...on both sides. I have had 3 different people tighten and read the instructions to make sure it wasn't owner error during assembly. I will be RETURNING THIS HEAP OF JUNK! Buy something by a reputable bike maker...not worth the disappointment.

Christmas present for my Son

Now that the bike is well put together it is a 5 star product. My son just hops on and rides. I particularly like how the training wheels are adjustable so that as he gets better we can just raise them a little and then eventually take them off instad of it being they are there to none at all.The instructions to put them together were excellent up to the brakes. I spent about 45 mins trying to sort out an issue with them. I only succeeded in the end by calling in a favor from a family friend who is a Handyman and he was able to help me out. The instructions seemed simple enough and it is possible that this is just the level of bike that this is but I was rather concerned. At the end of the 45 mins we seemed to have it. My wife tried it out and the tested the breaks and they worked so we gave it to our son. As I said he loves it and now several months of use later there have been no problems with the brakes or any other part of the bike.

GREAT bike!

For a child's 1st "big bike", this one is awesome! My son loves the cool Spider-Man design and it is a great way to encourage the entire family to get out and exercise! What fun!
