Parts drop off

I had the same experience as GFVAMom. Within the first few days two key pieces dropped off through typical use on a flat sidewalk: a rubber piece holding the steering wheel in piece and, worse, a nut and washer for the front tire. I could find no supplier to sell me replacement parts. I tried replacing the nut and washer with hardware store equivalents, but the existing pieces, manufactured in China, aren't standardized enough to allow for such tinkering, so that didn't work either. After a high-end investment, the entire bike is useless.

My three year old son loves his "dirt bike", but the screws come loose way too easily. Since he received the bike two weeks ago, screws have fallen off and the structure of the bike is compromised. For example, the front tire's guard is no longer attached and in other places where there were multiple bolts initially, now there is only one. This happened despite multiple tightenings by my husband. Clearly the screws/bolts are not sufficient to withstand normal wear and tear on this bike. In addition the paint is chipping significantly. Not what I expected for the money.
