Diamondback 2013 Girl's Lustre Mountain Bike (24-Inch Wheels, Purple)
Product Description
When a little boy gets too big for a 20" wheeled bike the Octane 24 is the way to go. The heat treated aluminum frame will hold up to the trials of childhood while the 40mm suspension fork will make heading down the dirt paths much more fun. Add in both front and rear twist shifters and he will have lots of gears to experiment with. The linear pull front and rear brakes will make stopping easy. Put your little one on a Lustre 24 and watch in amazement as she grows - both on and off the bike.

By K. Delgado
We purchased this bike for my 8.5 year old daughter for Christmas. She had very much outgrown her old 16'' bike. We weren't sure whether to buy this 24'' or another 20''. I am VERY glad we went with the 24''. It fits her great, with room to grow. She's an average size girl, and she can ride this bike easily. This bike is a great starter mountain bike and introduction to gears. seems very solid and well made. She's only been riding it a few weeks, but no problems so far. I'm really happy with our purchase, it's not a cheap junky bike at all. I'm expecting it to last several years.

Spent a night assembling the bike. Looks very nice. My 8-year-old daughter likes it very much. What I like it:Fairly easy to assemble. Good looking. Sturdy frame. My daughter is able to adjust the gear (though it's easy to upshift but hard to downshift). The suspension does works (I pushed it against the wall to try it)What I don't like it:The manual is generic but not specific to this model. There's no shipping list. The front reflector finds nowhere to mount. ( I attached it to the fork, just above the brake)

By Afshin
It's been few days so far, and for the most part it looks good except for the shifting which probably needs more adjustment. I have not figured how to get rid of noise yet.Assembly instruction provided by Diamondback is absolutely terrible, there are parts in the box which I think don't even belong to this bike. They have one general instruction for all of their bikes, so applying that to this bike is more like a joke, but I think 1 hour would be enough for someone to figure out how to do it.Will provide more update in few weeks ....
