Glide Bikes EZee Glider Kid's Balance Bike (Orange, 12-Inch)

Product Description

The EZee Glider from Glide Bikes allows children to gain confidence, improve motor skills, increase coordination, and learn balance at their own pace all while having fun! Balance Bikes do not have training wheels and pedals to get in the way, so children learn the important first step in riding a bike- BALANCE! Pushing off with alternating feet as if the child were running from a seated position, the child can learn balance and control. Once the child becomes more stable they begin to glide with their feet off the ground. Glide Bikes also incorporates a unique foot peg system to allow kids to have a place to rest their feet while gliding. These pegs can be locked into place with one simple to use, tool-free pin allowing the foot pegs to be installed or removed in seconds. As your child develops balance and begins gliding, they can place their feet on the foot pegs and get accustomed to the natural foot position present on a traditional bicycle. Another important aspect of learning to ride with a Glide Bikes balance bike is how they help build a child's confidence. The problem with bikes that depend on training wheels is the lack of control and stability and the higher probability of tip-overs. This makes the child more prone to injuries and takes the fun out of riding a bike. With the EZee Glider, riders have a lower center of gravity which increases stability similar to a sports car in comparison to a tall sport utility vehicle. We also design our bikes using downhill mountain bike geometry which also increases stability and allows for the lowest balance speed of 1.5 MPH. Unlike the heavy kid's bikes with training wheels, we use high quality, lightweight materials so that children can lift the bike by themselves and avoid getting trapped underneath the bike if they do fall. These are all very important features built into our bikes to make your child's experience a safe and fun one!

5AN HONEST REVIEW!!!
By Gary Cornell
Got this bike for my 2yo last week after doing a lot of research. Before I talk about the product I need to address the reviews found on this site and others. It is clear to me that many of the reviews were either paid for or written by the manufacturer. Just look at the words and phrasing. Also notice most are not confirmed buyers nor do they have other reviews. Many, many of the same words and very similar phrasing. I'd say 75% of the reviews are fake which really annoys me when they try to game the system. Happens more and more and something needs to be done about it.On to the bike. Got it in orange and it is a quality bike. Very light, small and adjustable. I actually prefer this one over the mini glider because it has air tires as opposed to foam. Big, big difference. They roll better and just look better. My 2yo had not problem straddling the bike with both feet on the ground. The orange is a great color. All of his friends are jealous because they say he is riding a 2 wheeler. Right now he just walks along with it. May be some time before he glides. The movable footrest and hand brake are nice to have but he may never use them.Overall, I think this bike is the best option in it's price range and would recommend over the mini glider and strider.

5Awesome bike!
By celise miller
We've had this bike a year now. We got it for our son several months after he turned two. After about 4-5 months he was balancing without using his feet. We've had tons of people comment on what a neat bike this is, but I have not seen any other balance bikes around. I recommend it to everybody. He can also ride it off-road, thru the yard etc, propelling it with his feet, because of the big tires. He likes to chase our dog around. It's nice because he can ride a bike like big sis. Tricycles don't even come close. The one negative I've found is that the had brake is way too hard for a toddler to use, but he just drags his feet when he wants to stop, so it's really not necessary anyway. Just have to make sure they don't wear nice new shoes when riding the bike, unless you want the toes worn out. This bike has been a great find for us.

5Better than expected!
By Legal Eagle
My older children have used the Mini-Glider and the Go-Glider with great success. The Quality is excellent and both kids loved their Gliders (blue & pink) even after they mastered a traditional bike. I gave the ez glider as a gift because it had all of the great features of the Mini Glider, hand brakes, foot pegs, mountain bike geometry plus air tires instead of foam tires on the mini The ez glider is a little heavier than the mini-glider but it is also cost less. More importantly though the birthday boy wanted orange, so I went with it. He loves it (age 3). The pegs posed no problem, (they are removeabale) we took Glidebikes recommendation and left them in. He started with 2 feet on the ground, and quickly graduated to 1 foot on a peg, and then he was gliding resting both feet on the pegs. He is already using the handbrake and I think his mother is grateful for the brakes because he is fast! The EZ Glider delivered what it promissed.
