Great bike

We bought this bike for my husband, who has short legs. We were worried that a 26" bike would be just a little too high for him to comfortably ride and touch ground for stopping... Sadly, while this bike is perfect for touching ground, the height of the seat is not far enough from the peddles for his liking, so he rides it standing up. However, he likes the bike a lot. The speeds are comfortable to use and work well, the tires are great for traction and the orange of the bike makes it easy for him to spot at work (he uses it to get between hangers - air planes)It was easy to assemble and was packaged well. It came quickly. I plan to replace the seat with something more comfortable. We will look for a 26" bike for him another time, but he's happy with this one for the time being and since orange is our daughter's favorite color, she'll be inheriting this bike very soon :) She can't wait :)

Not Pleased

This bike requires some assembly, and the pedals have threads on them that you use to attach them to the bike. They simply turn/thread on, and there is no nut on the backside to keep them in place. As my son rode the bike, on occasion he would back pedal when he was coasting, and the pedal would back its way out, essentially unthreading itself. Before we realized this was happening, it came off as he was riding it as he stepped down on it to pedal causing him to crash his bike. I thought I hadn't tightened it correctly, but after putting it back on, the same thing continued to happen. The rest of the bike seems fine.

Not the highest quality bike

Incredibly complex instructions, a couple of key parts missing, overall questionable quality. But maybe my expectations were inordinately high for a ~$100 bike. It is a good fit for my junior high school aged son, and at the rate he's growing, he'll be on an adult bike before too much longer. I couldn't see spending $500+ (at a minimum!) that they wanted at my local bike shop for an intermediate stage bike.
