Great mountain/gear starter bike for kids

Bought the bike for my 9 yr old son and he loves it. Gear changer is a little hard if your kidhas small or weak hands, but my son got used to it after a few weeks.You save like $60 by getting it from Amazon rather than a retail store like Sports Chalet. The bike is 80% assembled in the box already, you just have to assemble: wheels to frame, pedals to frame, seat to frame, braking pads to each wheel, and adjusting the braking handles.But be forewarned the instructions are awful and weren't any help at all. I ended up just looking at pictures online to make sure I got things right. The most difficult part is the braking parts, overall it took me about 90 minutes but should have only take like 30 minutes if the instructions were any good.Oh one last thing, it doesn't come with a kickstand so be sure to buy that also when ordering online. You will need an adult bike kickstand, not a kid one. I ordered the "BV KA36 Alloy Adjustable Bicycle Kickstand" which is meant for 24"-28" bikes but it fit just perfectly.

Great bike!

I bought this bike for my 6 yo. I wanted to get him a bike he could grow into and this fit the bill perfectly. Assembly was and the pike was well packaged.
