By D. K. Fonseca
I read a lot of reviews and visited several stores when I was looking for my son's new bike. He is 3 but very tall. About 46", so the 14" bikes were too small and the 18" were too big, so there is not a lot to choose from in the 16" category. Well needless to say, this bike is a winner. Very well made, sturdy and safe. Definitely not some movie IP knock-off (as in Cars or Spiderman). I removed a star because it would have nice if it came with pads for the handlebar and the mid support bar. We had to find those ourselves. Also, a more minor note, the reflector light for the front is the wrong kind which we also had to replace. It shipped in a very compact box so it was surprising to see such a small box at the front door! I was able to put it together in less then 30 minutes.

This is a very nice bike! It's my son's 1st bike and fits him well...he's about 40 inches tall and I was on the fence about the 16-inch bike size but it's a great fit with plenty of room to grow. Assembly was pretty easy and took about 45 minutes.

By Jay Keefer
Bike feels solid and well-made.Assembly was easy... and that's a good thing, because the assembly manual is a generic one (looks like its probably used for all Diamondback bikes), and instructions covering this model are not very specific. But the best part about the manual is that they left out all the spaces between words. Really -- I couldn't make this up:Inserthandlebarsupporttubeintoopeningatfrontofframe.Tightenhandlebarretainingscrewsinordershown. And on and on. I guess this must have saved a few cents at the printer. But really, the assembly was easier than I had expected, and the manual only confirms what's fairly obvious anyhow.HOWEVER, you do need allen wrenches. The book claimed these were included, but there weren't any in my box.Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.
