By S. Hamon
First, let me say that is is a great bike for your little boy to learn on. My boy is 3 and is an average size for his age, and this bike fits him perfectly.PROS: - Has a pad on the top bar (very important for little boys learning to ride) - Has a full chain guard...not just on the top of the chain - Has chunky tires that aren't too narrow - Very easy to assemble out of the box (although the directions aren't for this exact bike) - Seat looks a bit awkward in the picture, but it is actually a good design and holds your little ones bottom in the correct place - A nice color red that isn't too flashy, yet stands out enough for others to be able to see your child when riding (not like a black or darker colored bike, which is hard to notice on a street)CONS: - Manual & directions aren't for this exact bike (looks like the company has 1 manual & includes it with all of their bikes...and it is for adult bikes) - My biggest gripe - the fenders shown in the picture are NOT the ones that come with the bike. I have listed a picture of the bike we have showing the difference in the fenders. It is not a huge difference, but the ones that come with it do not wrap around the top of the tire as much as the stock photo shows, which makes them essentially pointless in keeping the tire splash angled downward - and they don't look as "cool" because they don't have the holes in the side giving a "beefier" look. :( - No reflector for the back of the bike, only front (which isn't a huge deal because I plan on putting a flashing LED, but something worth mentioning).**UPDATE**Seems the bike has a few things that were redesigned on it...so my picture was removed. I still don't like the fenders that come on the bike now. But I am happy to report that the bike is still in great shape over 2 years later!!

By V. Solovyov
I have bought this one for my 3 year old son from meijer.com - cheap [...] with no shipping cost. I wish I spent my money elsewhere. Main problems with the bike:1. Poor quality: after screwing on various parts paint came off in several place. Overall, it has "Made in China" all over it, but these days what does not.2. Seat and handlebars have REALLY short stems. If inserted properly to the "minimum mark" it would make it impossible to ride for 4-5 year old. The seat and handlebars would be too low. Also - and it is just my opinion - the seat is not positioned right, it is too far back which makes it difficult for my 3 year old to ride. The short stems WILL make it impossible to use the bike when your kids turns 5 or 6. I bought a Schwin for my daughter and I adjust both the seat and handlebars regularly. She's 6.5 now and still uses it.3. The seat is very difficulty to tighten when it is inserted "properly" to the "minimum mark". Tough to get under the seat with a wrench.4. Pedals unscrew all the time when my kid uses the bike. Might be a temporary problem, but nothing in the manual suggests how to address it. Also, it it VERY difficult to tighten up the pedals with a wrench. Plastic gets in the way and when the pedals screwed in tight then the wrench starts to rub against the cranks.5. As noted in previous reviews, the manual is confusing. It is written by techs for techs with few useful pictures. There are instruction for assembly for at least 3 models, so you have to turn pages until you find the right one. But even the right one is not simple to read. It took me an hour to assemble the bike. I would not take it to the bike shop - it is too a low quality bike to do so and one can assempbe it with simple home tools.6. Carton came slightly damages with one screw deformed.Overall, when I compare this one with the Schwin I bought for my daughter, I would not spend my money on Polaris; even [...].Chose wisely. Go to a store and have a look at a product before buying. You will be able to fell the product and have recourse if anything is wrong with it.

By Dariushd
The first one I got had a manufacturing defect that made the whole bike lean about 10 degrees to one side. Of course I only discovered this after 90% of the bike was put together and on Christmas Eve! Oh well. Amazon came through and next day air'ed me a new one as soon as it was available and that one was perfect. As far as assembly goes, the manual is basically useless. If you are handy with a wrench, you'll pretty much know how to put it all together if you take your time. The only confusing part for me was attaching the brake line to the brake handle lever, but after I tried a few things, it worked out fine. It is an inexpensive bike, but it's got a good build quality and is not too heavy. My son (4.5) loves it and it looks really cool, too. For the price, it' worthwhile, but NOT if you're not handy with tools and putting these things together. If that's the case, you're better off buying a pre-assembled bike from a brick and mortar store, or one that has explicit directions for that model (which this one does not, the instructions are generic which is useless).
