Wish they had this when I was a kid

I also bought this item from Costco for my 9 year old son. When you put all three parts on your bike it looks really impressive . I initially had a problem with the wheel writer as well. I watched the install video on the website and it turned out the magnet was not mounted correctly, it needs to be very close to the wheel writer for it to work correctly. Once I setup everything up as directed it works great. If you read the instructions (which are very well written) and watch the video you should have no problem. My son especially likes the speedometer feature. Several other kids in our neighborhood saw it on my sons bike and bought it for their bikes. I highly recomend this product as it gets your childred away from the video games and outside playing.

These things are too legit. Seriously. I'm 32, and everybody thinks they are way sweet on my bike (including myself). I can only imagine how much more sweet they would be if I were 10.

Supremely irritated.

I was super excited for this. I installed all three of the lights yesterday. The bright blue pinstriping light looked so beautiful spiraled around my frame... the first time I turned it on. Less than an hour later, it wouldn't turn on at all, just made a faint humming sound. It was my favorite light of the three, but whatever, I got it on sale. I rode my bike about 5 miles, everything was on there pretty firmly.Today, I took my bike out again, and made it only half a mile before I heard a snap. That ridiculous bracket that's meant to hold the picture writer to the spoke by a 1 cm point of tension? Turns out that's not super effective at keeping it from moving around, no matter how crafty you are with a Phillips head and some zip ties. I dismounted, and noticed that one of the "wings" had snapped. I removed the light, and tried to continue with my ride, but it was immediately evident that the light had damaged my wheel. The spoke to which it was attached was bent so dramatically that it actually bent the entire wheel.So in addition to not working, this product has now cost me an additional $40 in getting my wheel trued and replacing the tube. Thanks Obama.

My son is 24 months old. He started using this bike at 20 months. He loves it. Every day you can see the improvement in his balance. He was born with Sensory Intergration which causes a child to basically not know where they are in "space" or in the "world" (Example: If he crawls under a table he doesn't realize that if he stands up he will more than likely hit is head) and this was a great way to get him to understand his boundries.
