Granddaughter loves it...

My 30 month old granddaughter loves it. I personally have not seen the item as it was shipped directly to my grandaughters house, however my son tells me that assembly was easy and it is a quality product. It has the versatility to "grow" as the child grows. If granddaughter is happy, grandpa is happy!

Very Pleased

We purchased this bike for our son's 2nd birthday. It was super easy to put together. He loves it and rides it all the time. We also have a 4 year old who can ride it comfortably in the taller position. Overall, it's great. I can tell that our 2 year old is learning balance much faster than our 4 year old. (who never had a balance bike) It's well made and made to grow with your child which is always nice!

Much better quality than the typical brands found in big box stores!

This bike is beautiful. And the seller we purchased it from was TOP SHELF! The bike arrived practically assembled, carefully packaged to avoid damage. The instructions were a bit vague but support from the seller made that a moot point. We also had trouble getting the handbrake to work but since our daughter's aunt and uncle are competitive cyclists, a quick visit with their repair expertise nixed that dilemma (we felt guilty asking the seller another question!) The bike comes assembled with a kick-stand (handy!) as well as a bell and basket and our daughter loves the little cargo area on the back. Very sturdy, safe, arrived in perfect condition (ahead of schedule thanks to the seller going above and beyond to make sure the Easter Bunny wasn't late!) and the parts (brake and saddle) are top quality...what you'd expect on pro bikes. Honestly...forget the 'typical' brands you find at big box stores and just buy this one. Bike*star and this particular seller is what/who we'll be looking for when our daughter is ready to upgrade! You won't be disappointed.

The best bike we could find -- anywhere

This bike is well built and looks great. The assembly was very easy and my daughter loves it.**A special note about my experience, when I received the bike the black trail rack on the back was bent. I contacted the amazon retailer Dakota Cycle and they shipped me a new one the very next day. 3 screws and the bike looked as good as it does in the picture.We shopped around many different retailers and never found a bike with this much style. My daughter loves to put her dolls in a car seat and strap them to the trail rack on the back. I would recommend this bike to anyone looking for a quality 16" bike. She also likes having a kickstand like her older cousins.We will certainly look to bike*star when my son is old enough to ride.

Fantastic Bike

Purchased this for my daughter's 4th birthday. It is a very well made and safe bicycle. My daughter can't wait for me to get home in the evenings so she can ride her bicycle. Promotes being outdoors and exercise. Got to love it in a world over technology.

The bicycle quality was OK for the money. I didn't like the condition the box arrived in. The chain guard is broken, but am making due since I don't want to deal with the hassle. UPS...hmph.

We ordered a MATTE ORANGE bike not FLOURESCENT ORANGE bike

We ordered a MATTE ORANGE mongoose bike and we received a FLOURESCENT ORANGE Bike. It is NOT as advertised. We could have purchased a bike like this flourescent colored bike at a much cheaper price at several stores in our area. We ordered THIS bike online because it stated it was MATTE ORANGE. This bike is NOT orange. Now, we have to pay to ship it back. I thought in this day and age, with the technology we have at our disposal that at the very least, the color description of an item AND the photo could be counted on to be somewhat accurate. Matte orange is NOT the same as Flourescent Orange. A small detail, yes, but a deciding factor for us to go the extra mile and purchase this bike online for our child and pay MORE money for it! It was to be a gift.
